د. محمد جواد البنا استشاري جراحة قلب ورئيس وحدة جراحة القلب في مستشفى جابر الأحمد الصباح في الكويت. وقد أكمل دراسته للطب في كلية طب جامعة ليدز في بريطانيا وأكمل تخصصه في جامعة تورونتو في كندا، وتخصص دقيق في الفتحات الصغيرة من جامعة مكماستر في كندا. وهو حاصل على البورد الكندي من كلية الجراحين الملكية الكندية. د. محمد ترأس فريق جراحات القلب باستخدام الروبوت الجراحي في مستشفى الأمراض الصدرية الى حين انتقاله لمستشفى جابر الأحمد الصباح.

Dr. Mohammad J. Albanna is a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon and the head of division of Cardiac Surgery at the Jaber AlAhmad Hospital in Kuwait City, the largest hospital in the Middle East.
Dr. Albanna has trained in several top ranked universities. He completed his medical training at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom and his Cardiac Surgery residency at the University of Toronto, Canada.
He also holds advanced fellowship training in General Cardiac and Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery from McMaster University, Canada.
Dr. Albanna has an MBA from London Business School, one of the top business schools in the world.
Dr. Albanna has also made significant contributions to Cardiac Surgery Education as the founder of the 'Cardiac Surgery Trainee Review Program' at the Canadian Cardiovascular Society, an invaluable program to generations of cardiac surgeons to achieve their specialty qualifications. A program that has celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2018. He also served as the Inaugural Director of Education at the department of Cardio-thoracic Surgery in the Chest Diseases Hospital, Kuwait.
In addition, Dr. Albanna has long established himself as a leader in the field of Cardiovascular Medicine having been elected by his peers in both cardiology and cardiac surgery as a 'Trainee Representative' on the Executive Council of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society.
Dr. Albanna has established the Temporary Mechanical Circulatory Support service at the Chest Diseases Hospital. He is a certified specialist in cardiac surgery as a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.
Dr. Albanna was the head of robotic cardiac surgery at Chest Diseases Hospital till his transition to Jaber AlAhmad Hosptial.
Dr. Albanna practices the full scope of Cardiac Surgery with a special interest in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Cardiac Surgery.
